Qatar 2022: Reports of Schlupp’s exclusion from Black Stars shock Ghanaians

Ghanaians have been shocked by the reported exclusion of Jefferey Schllup from the Black Stars squad for the World Cup in Qatar.

Schlupp has for some time rejected call-ups to the national team as he was not getting playing time in the national team.

The Crystal Palace midfielder was named in the 55-man provisional squad after the Ghana Football Association was able to convince him to return to the national team.

According to reports, Schlupp has been told by the coach of the Black Stars, Otto Addo that he has not seen him play, therefore, he cannot take him to the World Cup. This season, Schlupp has played 13 games in all competitions.

Ghanaians have been shocked by the reason for his exclusion especially when he plays in the same team as Jordan Ayew who always gets call-up in the national team.
