Rattray Park which was commissioned 3 years ago at a cost of about $4 million looks to be in ruins after EIB’s Ultimate FM in Kumasi published photos of the recreational centre on their Facebook page.
Rattray Park is named in honour of Captain Robert Sutherland Rattray who was an Assistant Colonial Secretary in the Gold Coast.
Last year, news broke out that the software used to operate the dancing fountain at the Park has gone missing and as a result of the people the number of people who visit the park has reduced as the fountain is the main attraction at the Park.
Last week, Ultimate FM in Kumasi published photos of the park showing the bad state of the $4 million Park.
Since the photos were published, residents in the city have started asking the authorities to sack the management of the Park.
Others are also asking what the use the money they charge people who visit the park for?
Since the photos of the Park were published, the management of the park is yet to come out and indicate whether the place is in ruins or there is an ongoing project.
