After eight players and four management members of Asante Kotoko tested positive for Covid-19 ahead of their game against Al Hilal in Sudan, Kotoko reported the incident to CAF as they suspected that their results have been tampered with.
While the club was waiting for a decision to be made, CAF in a tweet indicated that Kotoko has been eliminated from the competition.

However, Kessben FM sports journalist, Franko Nero has revealed how Kotoko allowed themselves to be stabbed in the back by trusting an official of Al Hilal who works for the Ghanaian Consulate in Sudan.
According to Nero, this is not the first time the man has worked against Kotoko.
