Former Asante Kotoko striker, Saddick Adams has revealed that leaving Kotoko is the saddest day in his career.
According to the former Atletico striker, it all started when he was given a transfer letter by the club.
Adams told Ash FM that his relationship with the Porcupine Warriors ended the day he missed a penalty during the club’s CAF Confederation Cup game with Congo’s Cara at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium.
Even though Kotoko won the game by a goal to nil, the win did not make him the face of the club again.
Adams was the hero when he scored a hattrick to qualify his club for the Confederation Cup against Kotoko’s archrivals Hearts of Oat in Tamale in the final of the MTN FA Cup.
“The saddest day in my career was the day I was given a transfer letter by Kotoko,” he told Ash FM in Kumasi.
“Dr Kyei got angry and didn’t talk to me till date after we lost our game against CARA”
“Ghanaian club officials do not treat Ghanaian players well because they think they (Club Officials) are doing us(players) some favour when we are playing in their team.”
