Former Asante Kotoko striker, Abdul Fatawu Safiu, 27, according to a report by Oyerepa FM is eyeing a return to the club after his contract with Trelleborgs IF ended.
Safiu was part of the Kotoko team that played in the CAF Confederation Cup group stage during the 2018/2019 season and scored 10 goals in 14 matches for the club during his time with the club.
The former Inter Allies striker signed for Swedish second-tier club Trelleborgs IF in 2019.
He has had stints with Vimmerby IF, Portland Timbers 2, White Caps FC 2, Shirak, Eleven Wonder and Liberty Professionals.
After Oyerepa FM tweeted Safiu’s interest in rejoining Kotoko, Safiu retweeted Oyerepa’s tweet and captioned it “Eii Oyerepa Ampa.”
He later made another tweet and captioned it “I’m ready” with a porcupine, money and love emoji attached to the tweet.
