Six Jehovah Witnesses swept away by flood at Esereso-Adagya

Last night’s torrential rainfall in the Ashanti Region has led to the death of six people who according to the reports gathered are Jehovah Witness members.

The sad incident happened after the six people who were in a car were trying to cross River Ankonim at Esereso-Adagya.

According to reports gathered, the car was driven by a man identified as Mr Wireko. The late Mr Wireko was in the car with his wife, child, nephew and two other people when the flood swept them away.

Five of the bodies have been retrieved from the river and the car and one body are yet to be found.
