Some Ash Gold players accused of taking bribe – report

Some players of Ashanti Gold SC have been accused of taking bribe from Legon Cities by a some of the club’s supporters and club officials.

According to the report, the allegation was made against the players after the team lost 5-2 to Legon Cities at the Accra Sports Stadium in the Ghanaian Premier League.

Cities had been struggling in the league while Ash Gold has been scoring goals easily and was second on the league table. Ash Gold was expected to win the match easily, however, things turned against them and they conceded five goals.

After the game, the players were accused of taking the bribe due to their performance in the game.

While some of the fans and club officials are accusing the placing of taking a bribe, others are also accusing them of staking bet.
