The Post understands that some people used fake currencies to buy tickets to watch the game between Kumasi Asante Kotoko and Kano Pillars at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium last Sunday.
According to the report, the total amount of fake money used to buy the tickets was about ₵300.
The Post also understands that apart from the fake money, no one used a fake ticket to enter the stadium.
During Kotoko’s campaign in the CAF Confederation Cup last season, some fans bought fake tickets, as a result, the club announced that it will only sell match tickets on match days to curb the act.
The Porcupine Warriors after the game reported that the club got ₵509, 000 from the sale of tickets on the match day.
Kotoko will on September 15 play Tunisian giants, Etoile Sportive du Sahel and a win for the Kotoko will give them qualification to the group stage of the CAF Champions League.
