The bolts and nuts that were stolen from the Adomi Bridge have been placed.
Forty-five bolts and nuts were stolen from the iconic Adomi Bridge which links the Eastern Region to the Volta Region.
When news broke that the bolts and nuts on the bridge have been stolen, the Director for the Ghana Highway Authority in the Eastern Region, Yakub Koray promised to replace them.
“The bolts and nuts have been fixed, that aspect is done,” Nana Yaw Ampem Darko, the Assembly Member for Atimpoku Electoral Area said. However, he indicated the street lights on the bridge are not working.
The Adomi Bridge was reopened in 2015 after it was closed for nearly 2 years for a 12.5 million euros rehabilitation work to be done.
