Tamale ready to host the Independence Day celebration

The capital of the Northern Regional capital, Tamale is ready to host the Independence Day celebration on Wednesday, 6 March 2019.

The 62nd Independence Day will be held at the Aliu Mahama Sports Stadium and it is the first time it is being organized outside the country’s capital, Accra.

20, 000 people are expected to attend the event at the stadium and the city has readied itself for those who will be attending the event in the region.

The President, Nana Addo chose Tamale as the host city for the event so as to help celebrate the enskinment of a new Ya-Na in the Dagbon Traditional Area and the restoration of peace in the area.
