Teacher in court for raping student

The principal for Habaswein Mixed Secondary School in Kenya was arrested on Sunday after a medical report proved that he raped one of his students.

Mr Abdi, according to the girl gave her a lift while she was going to visit her mother. She indicated she lost consciousness while in the car only to find herself dumped near an abandoned borehole.

A special arrangement has been made for the 18-year old student who is currently writing her Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education.

Mr Abdi has been freed on bond but will appear before the court again on November 27 this year.

His supporters prevented journalists from taking pictures of him when he made his first appearance at the court.
