Teenager kills himself after taking Tramadol

A young man has killed himself at Asafo in Kumasi after taking Tramadol.

The young man, whose name has been given us Derrick jumped from a 4 storey building when he got high.
Derrick, 19, after getting high thought he was at the ground floor when he was on the fourth floor. He jumped from the building and died on the spot.
His body has been taken to the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital by the police.

According to his friends, the 19-year old was a Tramadol addict.

The abuse of the drug has become a problem for the country as more and more young men are abusing the drug.
Though health experts have warned the youth against the effects of this drug, the young men have not been able to stop using it as it is very addictive.
Some of the young men according to reports gathered, buy the drug, put it into energy drink before they take it.
Narcotic Control Board believes the abuse of the drug is the ‘gateway to taking heroin and cocaine’.
