Kumasi Asante Kotoko legend, Wilberforce Mfum has said the current players at Kotoko are not good enough to play for the club.
Mfum, in an interview, said “if you compare the current players” to the previous ones you will know that the current players are not good and described the team “weeds”.
“Otumfuo’s spirit covered us so every club was afraid to face us,” he said.
The former New York Cosmos player also added that the “truth” must be told and wants the right thing to be done to push the club forward.
Mfum won trophies with Kumasi Asante Kotoko before joining Baltimore Boys in 1968. In 1969, he joined Ukrainian SC and later joined Ukrainian Nationals in 1970. A year later, the 1963 Africa Cup of Nations winner joined New York Cosmos.
