A man believed to be in his seventies was yesterday rushed to the hospital after a thief broke into Ghana’s High Commission in the United Kingdom.
Police cars, vans and ambulances were seen in the area while a helicopter was also seen hunting for the suspect.
The police were called to the scene followed by the paramedics of the London Ambulance Service.
Express.co.uk was told by a spokeswoman for the Metropolitan Police that ‘Police were called at approximately 12:53hrs to reports of a break-in at the Ghana High Commission Office, SW1X.
‘Officers attended.
‘A man believed to be aged in his seventies has been taken to a south London hospital.
‘We await an update on his condition.
‘Officers arrested a man in his forties at the scene on suspicion of aggravated burglary’.
The government of Ghana, as well as, Ghana’s High Commission in the UK is yet to release a statement to confirm what happened.
