A teacher at Ejisuman Senior High School last week was lucky to come face to face with a man who entered his house to rob him.
The incident happened at around 1 am when the teacher, Osei Kwabena has fallen asleep while watching TV.
The thief, a young man who is in his early twenties entered the house through a small window at the kitchen.
The teacher woke up and came face to face with the thief when he was leaving the house but could not do anything as the thief was able to escape.
Osei Kwabena called a friend who came to his house and they both went out to see if they can find anything. The two men found the thief hiding in a nearby bush but the thief was able to escape again for the second time.
A call was made to the police who then came to the teacher’s house to conduct their investigations minutes later. Luckily for the teacher his friend recognized the thief and the police were able to trace the thief to a three bedroom house and found him pretending to be asleep.
The police forced him to wake up and they found blood at his back and mud on his knees.
The young man pleaded guilty, gave them a phone he stole from the house and took them to where he had hidden the rest.
Osei Kwabena who thought the man took only two phones and a camera from his house also found his laptop at where he had hidden the things he stole.
The Post also found out that the thief was arrested not long ago and his mother was given money to get him out of jail by Osei Kwabena. The young thief did not thank Osei Kwabena but rather saw it as an opportunity to rob him.
The thief, a High School graduate is currently in police custody and will appear before a judge soon.
