A man, whose name has been given as Shaker and a trader at Moro Market at Tafo in Kumasi has been arrested by the police after he killed his customer over an argument about Torchlight.
Business starts as early as 4 am at Moro Market as it is the best time to do the best selection if you are a shoe retailer or if you want to buy the best shoe for yourself.
Justice Appiah, shoe seller went to the market early and was at Shaker’s shop to buy some of the shoes.
Justice, after selecting some shoes, hanged them close to where a torchlight they were using to help them see and do business.
Shaker told Justice to remove the shoes as the torchlight might fall down.
Justice, eyewitnesses said replied Shaker that should the torchlight fall down and get destroyed, he will buy a new one for him.
Shaker got angry and attacked Justice but the two men were separated by bystanders.
While Justice Appiah was doing his selection, Shaker attacked him from behind and stabbed him with a knife.
With blood all over him, Justice fell down while he was running away. Shaker attacked him again and stabbed him on his waist.
Justice died on the spot.
Justice Appiah, The Post gathered has a 10-month-old baby and according to his wife, he is the breadwinner of their family.
The suspect has been arrested as the police are doing their investigations.
