Confrontations between traders and city guards in Ghana’s cities is one issue city authorities have not been able to deal with.
A phone seller in Kumasi could not get over his anger after he engaged in a fight with a city guard officer whose name has been given as Red as he ended up cursing him and telling the gods to kill him in a week time.
The Post gathered Red told the trader to leave where he was selling his phones as that area is not designated for trading.
Less than a minute later, Red went back to the phone seller, attacked him, took his phones and threw them away.
Red’s action angered the phone seller who in turn called on the name of the six local gods and the two foreign gods to kill Red within a week for him.
No one was willing to calm down the trader as we gathered Red is known for attacking traders who sell at Adum.
Some traders, on the other hand, indicated they will be reporting Red to the KMA as he has been intimidating them.
