In the Bono Region of Ghana, a heart-wrenching incident unfolded at a popular drinking spot in Berekum. Twin brothers, Harus and Farouk, are now at the center of a police manhunt after allegedly stabbing a young 17-year-old boy named Alhassan Sulemana to death.
The tragic event occurred on a fateful Sunday, July 16, 2023, around 01:30 in the early hours. Alhassan’s life was cruelly taken away, and his lifeless body now rests at the Berekum Holy Family Catholic Hospital mortuary, awaiting preservation and an autopsy.
While the incident has shaken the community, details are scarce, and the Berekum Divisional Police Command has launched an investigation into the matter. A source from the police confirmed the occurrence to the Ghana News Agency (GNA) but chose not to elaborate further at this stage.
It was revealed that the deceased, Alhassan, and the twin suspects, Harus and Farouk, were friends. On the night of the incident, they had attended a night party at the drinking spot, but unfortunately, a heated dispute erupted between them.
