The Nation Builder’s Corp program has put smiles on the face of unemployed graduates in the country. The program which was launched yesterday at the Great Hall on KNUST campus will employ 100,000 unemployed graduates and is expected to start in August 2018.
Nana Addo, at the launch of the event indicated in his speech that the personnel will receive GHC 700 at the end of every month for 3 years after which their contract will be terminated.
The program is to give unemployed graduates the opportunity to work while they look for a permanent job within 3 years.
Most unemployed graduates expressed their joy as they believe this social intervention program by the government will for the first time give them a clear mind.
Due to the high number of unemployed graduates, most companies have been underpaying their workers. Therefore, the GHC700 stipend they will be given is more than enough for them.
Although most unemployed graduates are happy with the program, there are others who are skeptical about the program. To them, it is not the first time such a program has being launched in Ghana so the only way for them to believe this, is for the program to start.
Since the launch of the program, thousands of people have applied causing the website to jam.
Information about the program can be found on the website www.nabco.gov.gh.
