Veteran actor Seth Kwabena Kyere Karikari popularly known as Koo Fori has revealed reasons why he stopped starring in feature films.
Koo Fori who used to be one of the top actors some years ago spoke about his decision to quit accepting roles to in feature movies.
According to the veteran actor, some of the producers and directors are always out there to cheat them and treat them like trash.
In an interview with Zion Felix, Koo Fori expressed his disappointment in producers and directors as he lamented the bad treatment given actors and actresses.
He noted that producers often come begging actors when they want to shoot a movie but after getting the movie done, they fail to fulfil their part of the agreement.
Koo Fori recalled how some producers will promise to pay after the movie is shot but refuse to pay as soon as the movie is done.
“Whereas they will come to you looking all sad and begging you to shot their movies for them with the promise of giving you your pay at the end of the day, they will act as if you don’t even exist when it is time for them to pay you after the movie has been released,” he stressed.
The Bryt TV CEO also stressed that another thing which pushed him to quit acting was how most of the producers break a single movie they shot into about three to four parts just to get more money.
He said such decision benefits the producers but the actors who played key roles and were paid only for a single movie do not get extra cash.
He, however, told Zionfelix that he will still be a cast of the “Efiewura” TV series and as such, people who would want to see him act can catch the weekly episodes on TV.
