A dog in Ghana has predicted a win for Kumasi Asante Kotoko over their arch rivals Accra Hearts of Oak in tomorrow’s Super Clash in the Ghanaian Premier League.
While this way of predicting the winner of a game is commonly used in Europe, Ghanaians have tried this for the first time and the video has gone viral.
In the video, one fried fish was placed on the flag of each club. The dog chose that of Kotoko and after eating it, it went to take that of Hearts and ate it on Kotoko’s flag.
This mode of predicting the winner of a match was made popular by Paul The Octopus who predicted the winner of the 2010 FIFA World Cup in South Africa which Spain won. Paul made 12 predictions out of 14 until it died in October 2010, two months after the World Cup.
