The Member of Parliament for Asawase Constituency, Mutaka Mubarak Mohammed has said the death of The Hawks member Wassiu Iddrisu has got “nothing to do with the” NDC party.
According to the former Minister for Youth and Sports, the deceased and the suspect had their “own outstanding fight” which they continued at the NDC regional office in Ashanti Region.
Muntaka in an interview said he wants an investigation to be done to find what actually caused the fight between the two men instead of linking it to the NDC party.
Iddrisu was shot three times by a member of the NDC vigilante group, The Hawks and was pronounced dead at the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital.
The attack has been condemned by the government and Ghanaians and calls have been made for the disbandment of vigilante groups in Ghana.
