Voters are Obuasi West constituency have threatened to vote against their MP, Kwaku Boateng.
According to the residents, the MP has failed to deliver the promises he made them before the 2016 elections and he has not even been to the area to thank them for voting for him.
They are not happy with the state of their roads especially and said they were expecting him to at least tell them something but the MP has ‘ignored them’.
Over the years, Obuasi has been the main gold mining area in Ghana, however, the rate of unemployment, as well as, underdevelopment is very high.
One resident who was part of those threatening to vote against the MP in 2020 said she got a T-shirt from the MP during one of this campaigns. But after washing it for the first time, she realized she could not watch the shirt again.
The MP, nonetheless, is yet to comment on the threat he has been sent.
