Wenger bows out, City gets 100 points, Liverpool gets 4th spot

The world’s most popular football league, the English Premier League has come to an end. As usual, it ended with lots of thrills.

Pep Guardiola called his men ‘magnificent’ after becoming the first team to get 100 points and also scoring 106 goals.

Gabriel Jesus scored a 94^th minute goal for City to get the 100 points against Southampton at the St. Mary’s Stadium.  

Everyone’s favourite player, Mo Salah broke the golden boot record by becoming the first player to score 32 goal in a 38 games league helping Liverpool secure the 4^th place spot to qualify for the UEFA Champions League.

Liverpool won by 4 goals against Brighton at Anfield with goals from Solanke, Robertson, Lovren and Mo Salah.

Now no matter what happen in Kiev against Real Madrid, they have a place in next season’s Champions League.

Last season’s champions, Chelsea, lost away from home by 3 goals to nil against Newcastle. They will now play in the Europa League next season.

Aubameyang scored the only goal as Arsenal won by one against Huddersfield town  making him the first player to score 10 goals in 13 games.

At the Theater of Dreams, Marcus Rashford scored the only goal in the game in what was Michael Carrick’s last game for Manchester United. With 6 minutes to the final whistle he was replaced by Paul Pogba.

Peter Crouch scored his 199 career goal at the Liberty Stadium as Swansea lost by 2 goals to 1 against already relegated side Stoke City. Had Swansea won their game, they could have qualified if City had beaten Southampton by a 10 goal margin.

All attention are now on the FA Cup and Uefa Champions League final and the World Cup in Russia.
