Last Sunday, the WWE superstar and world champion, Kofi Kingston met the Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II at the Manhyia Palace in Kumasi.
Kingston was at the Mahyia Palace on Sunday to greet the Asantehene as he was celebrating Akwasidae.
Kingston presented the Asantehene with a replica of the WWE world title.
“Never in my wildest dreams did I ever think that I would stand before the Ashanti King bearing gifts and conversing with him,” Kingston wrote on Instagram to express his excitement.
Also, he expressed his joy after meeting Otumfuo in an interview with WWE.
Before meeting the Asantehene, Kingston went to Ejisu, his father’s hometown and met the Ejisuhene, Nana Afrane Okese IV after which he went to Bonwire to weave kente and then stamped an adinkra symbol at Ntonso.
