It has been confirmed that Kumasi Asante Kotoko has terminated the contract of Guinean striker, Naby Keita.
Keita featured in only one match during Kotoko’s CAF Confederation Cup campaign against Kariobangi Sharks.
He was sidelined after the club’s poster boy, Sogne Yacouba returned from injury.
Keita was C.K Akonnor’s first signing after he impressed the coach during his trails with the club and signed a 3-year contract after he passed his medicals.
However, after falling from the pecking other at the club his contract has been terminated by the club after less than a year.
The former FC Renaissance Club De Conakry attacker has met with the management of the club has told them to give him the money he would have been paid for the 3 years contract he signed last year.
According to the report, Keita has been told that if Kotoko does not agree to pay him, he should leave Ghana.
And should he leave Ghana without an agreement between him and his now former club, an action will be taken.
Keita’s contract termination has not been well received by some fans of the club as they wanted him to stay, instead, Obed Owusu was chosen over him.
Those who wanted him to stay believe he was not given enough chance, unlike Obed Owusu who has failed to impress throughout his stay at the club.
The only quality they say Obed has is that “he blocks the ball for other players to score goals.”
