Ayigya Zongo, Ashanti Region – A distressing incident unfolded in Ayigya Zongo, as a 32-year-old woman named Jennifer Appiah reportedly stabbed her boyfriend, Joseph Bawa, multiple times, leading to his untimely demise.
The fatal altercation took place on Sunday, June 11, 2023, following an argument between the couple. According to a report from Starr News, Joseph Bawa was pronounced dead upon arrival at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology Hospital.
During a media interaction, the mother of the deceased revealed that her son had been frequently threatened with a knife or scissors by the suspect during previous altercations. She expressed her concerns about their tumultuous relationship and disclosed that she had advised her son numerous times to end the relationship, but he refused to do so.
Regrettably, the exact cause of the argument that resulted in Joseph Bawa’s tragic death remains unknown. The suspect, Jennifer Appiah, is currently at large, prompting an urgent plea from the grieving mother to the police for assistance in bringing the perpetrator to justice.
The mother of the deceased tearfully stated, “Any time a misunderstanding ensues between the two, the woman threatens the deceased with a knife or scissors. I urged my son to stop dating the woman countless times, but he refused to do so until his premature demise. Now the lady, after killing my son, has escaped. So, we are pleading with the police to arrest her and bring her to book.”
The body of Joseph Bawa has been transferred to the KNUST Hospital morgue, awaiting further investigations by the police to apprehend the suspect and shed light on the circumstances surrounding this tragic incident.
