Rose Benewaa, 52, a mother of eight has been arrested for attempting to sell her child.
According to the report, Benewaa went to see a man called Joseph Amidu popularly called Mallam to sell one of her children to him.
Benewaa wanted to sell her child for ₵8, 000 but Mallam was able to pay ₵2, 000 upfront. Mallam then gave Benewaa a day she should come for the rest of the money.
Benewaa was arrested at Mallam’s house on the day he went for the rest of the money as Mallam had reported the incident to the police.
According to the report, because Amidu is popularly called Mallam, Benewaa thought he was a spiritualist and that he might need human blood to do his work.
After her arrest, Benewaa told the police she sold her child because she needed money to pay her ₵50 debt which she stated she incurred through the child she sold and his twin.
Amidu, on the other hand, was also arrested to assist the police in their investigations as they found audio recordings on his phone the police suspect might indicate he’s into human sacrifice.
