A woman at Breman Ayipe in the Central Region of Ghana has been arrested for pouring acid on his boyfriend’s girlfriend.
Yaa Adu has been living with her boyfriend for many years and she believes he is having an affair with another lady called Afriyie, 27, who sells rice in their community.
According to the report, Afriyie went to fetch firewood when she met Yaa on the way home. Yaa warned her to stop dating her husband (boyfriend) and the two women fought about it until they went their separate ways.
Later in the day, Yaa went to Afriyie’s house with a soda, saying she has heard Afriyie mentioning her name in her house. The two women fought again and Yaa poured the soda on Afriyie.
Afriyie was rushed to the hospital and Yaa was arrested by the police.
According to Afriyie’s family, she has lost her sight.
