A 27-year-old woman, Hilda Asumani Embro has been jailed for 10 years in hard labour for killing her lover for eating their grasscutter soup.
Embro who is a resident of Abesim in the Bono Region and her lover, Prince Yaw Aboagye, 30, have been in a relationship for the past six years, however, the two have been having a rough time for some time.
According to the prosecutor, Embro did not take it lightly when Aboagye ate the grasscutter soup which she had prepared for their family.
The two got into an argument when she found out he had eaten all the soup and she stabbed Aboagye with a pair of scissors in the neck and chin multiple times which left him bleeding profusely.
Embro was arrested, and charged with manslaughter by the Sunyani High Cout and was sent to jail.
