According to UTV’s report, Faustina had lost her original wedding ring, which her husband had placed on her finger. Faced with attending a funeral where familiar faces, including notable church members, would be present, she decided to buy a replacement ring to avoid arousing suspicion or answering too many questions.
Faustina’s friend, who reportedly specialized in selling wedding materials, offered to sell her a ring, which she accepted. However, just a day after wearing the new ring, she found it impossible to remove. The ring began causing damage and eating into her skin. Despite seeking assistance at a health center, both the medical staff and a mortuary attendant were unable to help.
In a desperate attempt to find a solution, a pastor was summoned to pray over Faustina’s swollen hand before resorting to using pliers to loosen the peculiar ring. While they were eventually able to remove it, her hand was left with a painful wound.
