The CEO of Kumasi Asante Kotoko, George Amoako has added his voice to the Sogne Yacouba saga.
Amoako has urged the fans to forget about whether Yacouba will stay or not because whether he stays or leaves, “Kotoko is Kotoko.”
Amoako made the statement during a press conference before Kotoko’s game against Ash Gold at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium.
“Yacouba or no Yacouba, Kotoko is Kotoko.”
“The Kotoko name made Yacouba who he is today because when he came to Ghana, for a month no club wanted to sign him,” he said.
He went on to promise the fans that another player to rise to take the place of Yacouba in the team.
Yacouba is yet to feature for Kotoko since he last played for the club during the CAF Confederation Cup game against Al Hilal in Kumasi as the club has reported that he sustained an injury during training some weeks ago.
