Former Ashanti Gold SC attacker, Yaw Annor has gotten his first call-up to the Togo national team.
Annor, who once got a call-up to the Ghana national team was dropped as he could not make the final team for international games.
Born in Ho, Ghana to a Togolese mother and a Ghanaian father, the 24-year-old played for Ghana at the U-17 level in 2013 but has struggled to make it to senior national team.
According to sources, the Ismaily winger is likely to play for his mother’s country as his chances of playing for the Ghana national team is very low.
The former Berekum Chelsea star scored the highest number of goals in the 2021/22 Ghana Premier League season with 22 goals equaling Hearts of Oak legend Ishmael Addo’s long-standing record in the league. His performance in the league won him the Best Home-based Player of the Year Award at the Ghana Football Awards.
