Today, the head coach of Kumasi Asante Kotoko, Kjetil Zachariassen met with the management of the club to present his report on the club’s participation in the CAF Champions League to them.
When Zach signed for the Kotoko in July this year, he was tasked to take the club to the group stage of the Champions, however, he failed to qualify his team to the group stage of the competition as he lost to Etoile Sportive du Sahel in the last round of the preliminary stage matches.
Zach, according to a report, asked the club to employ a physiotherapist. The physiotherapist will use massage, heat treatment and exercise to treat injuries of the players.
Zach after Kotoko’s demotion to the CAF Confederation Cup said that is where the team belongs not the Champions League.
Although his comment did not go down well with some fans, a section of Kotoko fans backed him and has asked the management not to sack him.
Kotoko will on October 9 know their opponent for the CAF Confederation Cup. Last season, Kotoko played in the group stage of the competition but could not progress to the quarter-final stage.
