There is still hope for Egypt to make it to the next round

The Pharaohs of Egypt have lost their second world cup match to Russia. The Egyptians lost by 3 goals to 1 with an own goal from Ahmed Fathi in the 47th minute, Denis Cheryshev in the 59th minute, Artem Dzyuba in the 62nd minute and a consolation goal from Mo Salah in the 73rd through a penalty.

Although the odds are against the Egyptians, there is a slim chance that they can still qualify to the next round.

They now have 0 points and a – 3 goals after two games while Saudi Arabia has a -5 goals with only one game played.

For the Egyptians to qualify, Saudi Arabia must beat Uruguay today at all cost.

If that happen, the Egyptians must also pray for the Russians to beat Uruguay in their last round match and also for them [Egyptians] to beat Saudi Arabia on the same day.

Although it will be difficult for Saudi Arabia to Uruguay, we can never brush them off. In the game of football, anything can happen in the 90 minutes.
