Saudi Arabia and Egypt are both out of the world cup after Luis Suarez scored the only goal in Uruguay’s game against Saudi Arabia.
Suarez scored the goal in the first half after the Arabians could not clear a corner. The ball was too high for the goalkeeper to catch or punch and Suarez did what was supposed to be done when the ball fell in front of him.
With no opponent around him, the Barcelona star tapped the ball into the net.
Saudi Arabia kept control afterwards. They kept possession but they could not put the ball into Muselera’s net.
Egypt could have had a chance to qualify had Saudi Arabia beat Uruguay but with the game ending in favour of the South Americans, the 7-times African champions are now out of the World Cup.
Egypt and Saudi Arabia will play each other in the last group match while Uruguay and Russia play each other for the top spot.
