Hearts of Oak goalkeeper, Richmond Ayi, has issued an apology to the club’s fans following a shocking error during their match against Nations FC. The Phobians were looking to bounce back from a 3-2 defeat against Asante Kotoko in the previous week.
In the match against Nations FC on matchday 15, Hearts of Oak were held to a draw by the Premier League debutants at the Dr Kwame Kyei Sports Complex at Abrankese. Despite Hamza Issah breaking the deadlock for Hearts of Oak in the 7th minute, Richard Danso scored in the 94th minute, securing a point for the home side.
Ayi’s error, failing to grab Danso’s shot, led to the late equalizer, and fans expressed their displeasure. In response, Ayi apologized to the disappointed fans for his mistake.
