They met again in Russia exactly 12 years later. The Germans again beat the Mexicans 4-1. They went ahead to beat Chile in the final by a goal to nil.
The last encounter came on 17 June, 2018 which the Germans lost by a goal to nil. When the world was expecting the German’s to deliver, they failed to deliver.
