Concerns raised about the podium Akufo-Addo will stand on in Tamale

Concerns have been raised about the podium the President, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo will stand on at the Tamale Sports Stadium, The Post understands.

According to reports, the structure has been made with ‘weak woods’ and some people believe it might collapse when the president stands on it.

Those worried about the state of the podium wants organizers to change wooden structure to a metal structure as it is in a bad state.

At the moment, it is not clear if it will be changed or not although it has been reported to the authorities in charge of the program.

The event will start at 7:30 on Wednesday at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium and it is the first time the event is being organized outside Accra.
