Karela United has written to Normalization Committee (NC) to request for their match against Kumasi Asante Kotoko to be played at Kotoko’s home ground, the Baba Yara Sports Stadium in Kumasi.
According to the management of Karela, they about GHC 10, 000 on their match against Obuasi Ashanti Gold SC on Sunday, however, after the game they got only GHC 1,500 from the gate proceeds.
In other to make sure they get more money from the gate proceeds, Karela has written to the NC to change the venue of the final match.
The NC, after receiving the letter from Karela also wrote to Kotoko to inform them of their opponent’s request and it is believed that Kotoko has agreed to play the game at their home ground, the Baba Yara Sports Stadium.
While some people believe that Karela has unofficially handed the trophy to Kotoko, the fans and management of Karela believe that they can and will beat Kotoko in Kumasi.
