Rawlings did not form NDC, he formed Eagle party – Kwasi Pratt

The editor for The Insight newspaper, Kwasi Pratt, has stated that former President, Jerry John Rawlings did not form the NDC.

‘The NDC was formed before the man joined so how did he become the founder’.

He delineated that Rawlings formed the Eagle Party with Owuraku Amofa and Danny Ofori Atta when the ban on the multiparty system was lifted.

‘Eagle Party members use to attack the NDC members in 1991-92’.

‘The Eagle Party contested the 1992 elections separately’.

Rawlings who is believed to be the founder of the NDC, according to Kwasi Pratt, was first made the Father of the party when he was about to handover.

Then 10 years later, they made him the founder of the party.

This, Mr Pratt said, he does not know why they made him the founder of the party when in reality he is not the founder of the party.

Mr Pratt made these comments on an Accra based radio station.
