The coach of Kumasi Asante Kotoko, Kjetil Zachariassen, according to reports, see his newly appointed assistant coach, Johnson Smith as his rival but not his assistant coach.
Smith replaced Ralph Akakpo Patron as the assistant coach of Kotoko after Patron’s contract with the Porcupine Warriors expired.
According to reports, Zachariassen does not see Smith as his assistant coach especially when there have been rumours that he will soon be asked.
Zachariassen is said to have made that comment when he was asked during a meeting if he knows Johnson Smith.
Zachariassen, The Post understands also asked a technical team member a week ago if he is going to be sacked.
Rumours of Zachariassen has taken over the airwaves after Kotoko’s elimination from the CAF Champions League. Reports in the media indicate that the coach has been involved in a bribery scandal and is currently under investigation for taking money from the players.
